The Enhanced PYP challenges us to think about how flexible learning spaces can promote exploration, wonder, creativity, risk-taking and learning through play.

During this session we will share our current practice in our Year 1 setting. We hope to show how the environment can be a living space that is intentionally organized to encourage collaborative learning, acknowledging that children thrive in environments that are suited to their interests and developmental stages.

We will explore how to adapt and change our learning spaces to facilitate student inquiry and agency, using the concept of the environment as the third teacher.

We want to inspire teachers and their students to think about how they can develop their learning places and spaces.
